Private.
With limits.
bossdetox.ing has no accounts, advertising, analytics, AI, chat ingestion, meeting recording or user-content backend. The extension works locally; the web app needs an initial download before its offline tools are available.
What stays on your device
Session activity stays in browser memory. Optional Grimoire (calendar) history, mantra favorites, private notes and your own threats are encrypted with your passphrase in IndexedDB. Without saving consent and an unlocked vault, that activity stays session-only. Preferences and the daily Tarot card ID/date use local browser storage.
Note-taking is removed. Legacy encrypted records remain compatible with backups. They are not uploaded. There is no passphrase recovery or automatic cross-device sync. The website, web app and extension have separate storage.
What hosting sees
The website and app are hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting them downloads files and creates ordinary hosting requests, including technical information such as your IP address and user agent. We do not add visitor analytics or tracking scripts. The app does not send your private history, notes or your own threats to a server. Browser and hosting providers have their own policies.
Hide & lock has a job. Invisibility is not it.
Hide & lock, Escape, panel/tab backgrounding and idle lock clear private app-session state and lock the vault. They cannot erase clipboard history, downloaded backups, screenshots, previously shared frames, or browser/OS backups.
Employer-managed devices and browser profiles, monitoring software, other extensions or an unlocked screen can expose activity. Entire-screen sharing may show the app. A neutral icon is a discretion choice, not a security boundary.
Your choices
Use the tools without saving. Enable encrypted history only if you want it. Export encrypted backups or deliberately delete local data in Settings. Closing a PWA window or removing its icon does not necessarily delete its browser storage.
